Damai II Luxury Phinisi Boat Dive Damai’s newest vessel, MY DAMAI II was constructed in Tanjung Bira, South Sulawesi by Pak Hadji Baso in 2011. Pak Hadji Baso is one of the most respected master boat builders in the traditional Indonesian boat building comunity of Bira and was also the builder of Dive Damai’s first vessel, MY DAMAI I. MY DAMAI II has a deck length of 40 meters and a beam of 9 meters at its widest point. It has been built to an uncompromising standard and fitted out with all the latest diving, navigation and safety equipment to ensure that the level of service appreciated on our first vessel is maintained and, where possible, improved upon, including satellite wifi capabilities.  The new vessel is slightly larger than the first ensuring three large outside deck areas with an outside dining facility, our famous massage and spa treatment area and plenty of extra lounging and sunbathing space. MY DAMAI I has been designed to offer a personal service dedicated to small groups. With an overall length of 40 meters (130 feet) and a beam of over 8 meters (26 feet) the vessel has 7 staterooms with a choice of single cabins, twins, doubles or two spacious master cabins. With sizes ranging from 18sq. meters for the single cabin to +40sq. meters for the master cabin, all are furnished with either queen or king sized beds, ensuite toilets and showers. The addition of Southern Cross to our fleet back in 2002 was a bit unexpected and unplanned. Scuzz’s initial feeling at the time was that our two other vessels would be enough to meet consumer demand and allow for our ongoing exploration to the regions in Northern Sumatra. However, Om and his son Yandi, with the help of a few friends, had already begun construction on a new hull utilizing the knowledge they had gained from the previous boats and our many trips in the past. After seeing the hull was already built and the family was putting all their effort into it, Scuzz was inspired and decided to join in.
