Kira Kira was handcrafted and built by talented Bugis boat builders of south Sulawesi from Bugis community Ara village of south sulawesi using tropical hard iron woods from rainforest of Kendari. Kira Kira is a 22 meter long phinisi wooden boat constructed by the Konjo, Bugis Boat builders of south Sulawesi Indonesia, handcrafted over two years built in Bugis community village using the tropical hardest iron wood from the rain forest of Kedari Sulawesi.

Kira Kira boasting four cabin and communal dining, covered dive deck and large sun deck. 4,5 meter wide beam with teak ketch, mast and Marconi sail rig. With motorized power at 7 knots beside sail with the wind.

The hull of Kira Kira set on a double iron wood keel, the body first shaped over fires, the ribs crafted theafter from the Bitti timber enclosed with thick teak deck. Th cabins cut from Kandole and teak boast large beds and are naturally vented. 

Kira Kira is crewed by the Bugis that once ruled the waves during the historic spice trading from Bira in south Sulawesi of indonesiaknown for life at sea under sail. Blessed with local tradition and belief Kira Kira was launched in 2014, she has a long life ahead of her.
